Molecular Shaft

The Molecular Shaft was a device used for teleportation. It worked by disembodying a person or object and drawing their molecules up a shaft.
After Klarimo's invasion of Tiro was defeated, he was supposedly returned to his home in the Outerfringe Star Cluster via the Molecular Shaft, but a malfunction instead propelled him downwards into an underground chamber, where his presence began to contaminate the Staggs' water supply.
