The National Foundation for Scientific Research was a British institute founded in 1903. In the 20th century, Melanie Bush's grandfather leased Hallam House in Berkshire to the Foundation as its base.
John Hallam joined the Foundation and moved into Hallam House. They secretly worked with the United Kingdom Space Agency to create an alloy out of unusual elements which they used to make a time capsule to be buried at the Foundation's centenary celebration on 12 December, 2003. (AUDIO: Catch-1782)
