New Earth was an episode of Doctor Who, starring David Tennant and Billie Piper.
The design department's original plans for the episode included "ultra-realistic cat people". The means necessary to achieve this - a real live cat sitting on the head of an actor, the neck of their white gowns pulled up over the actors heads and covering the cats' bodies - proved to be impractical.
