The overthrow of Roger ap Gwilliam took place in 2046. Gwilliam, called by the Fifteenth Doctor the "most dangerous Prime Minister" in British history, had been elected that very year. Obsessed with launching nuclear weapons, Gwilliam nearly brought the world to the brink of nuclear war before he was overthrown. The Doctor was present for the event. In the aftermath, he created a security system for a DNA database of the United Kingdom that had been compiled on Gwilliam's orders.
