Paul Tanner was a friend of Ace's from Perivale. In 2002, he lived in London as a part-time computer hacker. He helped the Seventh Doctor and Ace locate and destroy the Fearmonger. He traced Walter Jacobs' location by hacking into his telephone call to Mick Thompson's radio show. He joined Sherilyn Harper's campaign to further the Doctor's plan to destroy the entity within her. He arranged a meeting between Roderick Allingham and Alexsandr Karadjic and informed the police of the meeting's location. (AUDIO: The Fearmonger)
