Phijax III was a cold, inhospitable planet. Nine-tenths of its surface was covered by a vast ocean.

In 9000 A.D., the Daleks invaded the planet. While exploring, an advance Dalek squad encountered a colony of giant squids, the monstrous Squeeth, resulting in a long and brutal battle. The Daleks refused to admit defeat and after days of battle, the Squeeth buckled under the sheer number of Daleks, battle-weary from relentless firepower. (PROSE: The Battle for Phijax III)
