Philip K. Dick
Philip Kindred Dick was one of the most influential and respected writers of science fiction in the 20th century. He was born in Chicago in 1928. (PROSE: Of the City of the Saved...) He had a sister, Jane Dick, who died at the age of six weeks. (PROSE: About a Girl)

After dying and being reborn in the City of the Saved, he continued to write, as well as turn to religious interests, such as interviewing members of the early Christian Church and founding new cults. Eventually, pursued by overenthusiastic fans, cultists and creditors, he vanished in AF 189. Some of his followers claim he has disappeared to the true heaven of which the City is just a mirage.
