An Earth-like planet was home to the Gonds, whom the more advanced Krotons, not native to this world, enslaved.

The unnamed planet had low gravity (though not to a noticeable degree) and orbited a binary star system. Its atmosphere contained high levels of both ozone and sulphur and the surface tellurium and magnesium silicate. The Second Doctor and his companions Jamie McCrimmon and Zoe Heriot later arrived on this planet in a desolate area known as the Wasteland, which was believed uninhabitable, and defeated the Krotons.
