Pugwash was a town in Nova Scotia. It was three hours walk from the Bay of Fundy.
In 1002, the First Doctor, Barbara, Susan and Ian arrived at the site of the future Pugwash with Eric the Red. Ian recognised the location from his previous visit, having visited Pugwash in the 1950s. (PROSE: Who Discovered America?)
