Pulsator beam

Pulsator beams were a form of Dalek weaponry that could be utilised by their flying saucers. Upon being activated, a large cone of pure red energy would emerge from the base of the saucer. Although not seemingly capable of causing direct damage, when used en masse, they would be able to blow up a planet from the inside out.

During the 1966 Dalek invasion of Earth, the Fourteenth Doctor found himself immune to Dalek weaponry. Convinced that they were somehow fakes, the Supreme Dalek was determined to prove him wrong and ordered his fleet into Formation Red Icosahedron. He then ordered the fleet to activate their pulsator beams, which seemingly destroyed Earth in the process. (COMIC: Liberation of the Daleks)
