Rontan 9 was a planet where scientists could rent laboratory space to conduct experiments. During the Last Great Time War it was affected by the Dalek's Time Destructor. Temporal distortions littered the planet, causing its inhabitants to turn into hostile creatures. The Eighth Doctor landed on the planet in search of mercury to fix his TARDIS. Rontan 9 was destroyed when its sun exploded into a supernova, millions of years before it should have. (PROSE: Natural Regression)
