The daughter of Pete and Jackie Tyler, Rosie was abandoned by her father, who left her with her inheritance, before her mother left her a year later, running off with John White who helped Jackie become a television star. After losing her husband Jimmy to a car crash, Rosie gave birth to her son naming him after her husband, and ran her café, the Rosie-Lee. She was friends with Brooke Robinson, graduating from university alongside her in 2008, and Femi.
One day, Rosie was approached by an alternate version of her mother. After being convinced that the Jackie in front of her was not her mother, space debris hit London, Rosie's worry for her mother caused her to rush to the studio, leaving the alternate Jackie in charge of the café. After being barred access to the ruined studio, Rosie went back to her flat to claim Jimmy from her counterpart before the alternate Jackie arrived. When the Albion Hospital called, Rosie went to greet her mother.
After Rose and Brooke had learnt that a rogue planet was due to pass near Earth in a matter of hours, Rosie was herded with everyone else into an ambulance that Rose claimed to transport them to an underground bunker. When Rose prepared to teleport out, Rosie got into an argument with her counterpart about escaping the cataclysm before Jackie broke up the argument.
