Sergeant (Ascension of the Cybermen)
In the Matrix-constructed story behind which hid the true fate of the Timeless Child, (TV: The Timeless Children) a sergeant admitted Brendan into the gardaí. In reality, the superior who admitted the Timeless Child to the Division had been Solpado. However, the sergeant also appeared in several scenes paralleling events in which Solpado is not known to have been involved: the sergeant was present the day Patrick found the infant Brendan, and also reappeared with Patrick after the elderly Brendan's retirement party to erase his memories of service. Curiously, the sergeant also briefly performed Tecteun's role, finding that Brendan had miraculously survived his fall from a cliff. (TV: Ascension of the Cybermen)

In Chibnall's post-production script, the sergeant was named Michael. In the credits of the broadcast episode, however, Michael is instead the name given to the thief who shoots Brendan. (Neither the sergeant nor the thief are ever named in dialogue, either in the script or the episode.)
