Starter Pack Adventure was a promotional webcast created for LEGO Dimensions. While mainly containing gameplay footage, it also includes some short narrative-based scenes, featuring a minor appearance by the Twelfth Doctor and his sonic screwdriver as part of LEGO Dimensions' packaging.

Story[[edit] | [edit source]]

The doorbell of a house rings, and a child answers. Another child is at the door, and asks if they have a Batman game. After this, another child asks if they have a LEGO Movie game, and yet another child asks if they have "Lord of the Rings", to which the child nods their head and invites each of them inside. Inside the house, one of the children unboxes LEGO Dimensions, and pulls out one of the plastic packets of LEGO, ready to build a LEGO Gateway with the other children. The second child begins building the Batmobile while the third child builds Wyldstyle. After building up more characters, vehicles, and objects, the first and second children begin playing LEGO Dimensions while the third and fourth children watch. Batman is then placed onto the gateway, increasing his size in-game. The Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man then flies the Storm Fighter through Metropolis before Batman, Wyldstyle, and Gandalf land onto the couch which the Simpsons had been sitting on, them having ran away. Lloyd Garmadon then jumps into the air and Shaggy drives the Mystery Machine off of a ramp. Batman then lands in front of Wyldstyle and Gandalf and spins a Batarang around in a circle and, just as the fourth child places a velociraptor onto the gateway, the doorbell rings once more. The first child opens it and is greeted by another child, who says "We heard you have LEGO Dimensions." Puzzled, the first child asks "we?" as the camera pans to reveal a large group of children who'd come to the child's house after having heard that they had LEGO Dimensions.

Notes[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • In some ways, this webcast bore a resemblance to Endless Awesome, in that it featured "real" people interacting with the LEGO minfigures. However, unlike that production, Starter Pack Adventure did not feature any "living" LEGO minifigures outside of the in-universe video game of LEGO Dimensions.
  • Although this webcast was not actually referred to as a "trailer", it seemed to be placed outside of the Doctor Who universe, as the Doctor seemed to be presented as fictional.
