Better Picture[[edit source]]

Since the two episodes that the red dalek featured in have passed surely there is a better image or screenshot that can be used Dark Lord Xander 01:04, 12 July 2008 (UTC)

Name[[edit source]]

Is 'Red Dalek' really the best name for this page? Surely 'Supreme One' is enough to stand out from the usual Dalek Supremes and also has enough in-universe support.

Good point. And wasn't there another red Dalek somewhere earlier in the series? The Daleks' Master Plan, I believe? - Caswin 15:30, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
Agreed, it should be called what it's called in the story, Dalek Supreme, or Dalek Supreme (Journey's End) or something to that effect, or Supreme One. As it's never called 'Red Dalek' in the story. --Tangerineduel 16:50, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
It should be Supreme Dalek (New Dalek Empire)--Skittles the hog 07:46, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

Revisiting the name debate[[edit source]]

I'll grant you that Skittles the hog was probably right at the time he wrote his comments. But now that there is a New New Dalek Empire, with a new Supreme Dalek, this name is confusing to the casual reader. It should go to standard disambiguation, with Supreme Dalek (The Stolen Earth). Gold struts[[edit source]]

I think in the Doctor Who complete Monsters guide or something like that, it suggested that the gold struts were used to plug the Supreme One into the Crucible's databank or computer. Sclera1 03:34, January 4, 2010 (UTC)

Doctor Who: The Ultimate Monster Guide says they "perhaps allowed it to plug into flagship systems." It was noncommittal and wasn't part of an in-universe section but should warrant a behind-the-scenes note. --Nyktimos 05:31, January 4, 2010 (UTC)

yeah, i agree =D Sclera1 09:03, January 4, 2010 (UTC)

White Dalek[[edit source]]

Why is the white Dalek Supreme from Victory of the Daleks on this page? I mean, it has it's own page (for the time being at least), and it is completely different from the one that led the War in the Medusa Cascade. --Chicken Bond 07:16, April 22, 2010 (UTC)

Agreed and removed. It was at this page, though, because the name suggests it should be. The white supreme is narratively tied to the New Dalek Empire, so it can be argued that this is the second of the New Dalek Empire supremes. But that's just not helpful. In my view, this page shouldn't really exist. It's far more helpful to have everything at Supreme Dalek so readers can follow the narrative flow of the concept. CzechOut | 15:45, May 9, 2010 (UTC)
I would propose adding what info there is on this page to the Supreme Dalek page and turning this into a re-direct (changing the series 4 aliens template should actually knock out most of the links to this page anyways). --Tangerineduel 15:49, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

In AUDIO: Brotherhood of the Daleks, was there a Red Dalek as well? Sclera1 05:01, September 1, 2011 (UTC)

Asylum?[[edit source]]

When did it actually appear in Asylum of the Daleks? 74.178.156.217talk to me 12:18, March 9, 2013 (UTC)
