- Among the life forms on Tiro are the Staggs, Auroyells, mobile trees with metal bodies, carnivorous flowers like giant poppies, giant cabbage plants, and giant ants.
- The TARDIS has klister valves which require magnatite to function.
- Klarimo is from the Outerfringe Star Cluster. His people have a device called the Molecular Shaft.
