Sir Terry Wogan introduced the Doctor Who Children in Need special Time Crash.

He is known for having served as the BBC's commentator for the Eurovision Song Contest before being replaced by Graham Norton. The character of Logan, commentator of the Intergalactic Song Contest, in the audio story Bang-Bang-a-Boom! was a parody based on him.

Terry Wogan has been mentioned several times in valid sources, and appeared several times in invalid sources. Perhaps most notably, the narrative 1986 continuity announcement for Roland Rat: The Series, had a scene where the Sixth Doctor mentioned that "Wogan" was a dreaded individual from the planet Shepherd's Bush.

He also appeared as himself in Children in Need 1983, Children in Need 1985, and Wogan 1986.
