The Ood in Cardiff was an illustration published as part of the When's the Doctor? search and find activity book in 2014. It features the Eleventh Doctor, Amy Pond, Rory Williams, as well as several other characters from previous episodes.

- Five green hats and four workmen are among those displaced in time.
- The Ood's translation spheres appear to be a mix of green, yellow and white.

- This illustration is the fifth of new additions present only in the 2014 edition of When's the Doctor?
- Several civilian characters present in the illustration are also seen in the previous Parallel Earth [+]Loading...["Parallel Earth (illustration)"] illustration, with added Cybus EarPods.
- The four workmen appear similar to characters that appeared in the previous Silurian Site [+]Loading...["Silurian Site (illustration)"] illustration, with some differences.

- The scene takes place in Cardiff Bay, specifically Roald Dahl Plass, seen in several previous stories beginning with TV: Boom Town [+]Loading...["Boom Town (TV story)"]
- Although he is unidentified in the book, Jack Harkness is also present at the scene. Cardiff Bay is notably the location of the Torchwood Hub. TV: Everything Changes [+]Loading...["Everything Changes (TV story)"] etc.
- The caption refers to the Cardiff Space-Time Rift, and also features an appearance of a Weevil. TV: Everything Changes [+]Loading...["Everything Changes (TV story)"] etc.
- Several of the Ood have red-eye, as seen in TV: The Impossible Planet [+]Loading...["The Impossible Planet (TV story)"], while others appear to have green-eye similar to that of Nephew as seen in TV: The Doctor's Wife [+]Loading...["The Doctor's Wife (TV story)"].
