Toban was the leader of the boarding party who captured the First Doctor, Susan Foreman, Ian Chesterton and Barbara Wright. He sent Susan and Barbara back to his main ship as prisoners. He told the Doctor that the body had found was not part of the crew of the ship. He was questioned by Arran about what the weapon they had was. He later helped to install the radiation filter to the ship. At Myla's command he piloted the ship into a radiation stream and caused an explosion. (AUDIO: The Age of Endurance)
