Toy Story was seemingly a film series beginning with the film of the same name, which gained later tie-in merchandise sold in shops such as Sanderson & Grainger.

Buzz Lightyear and Forky, characters from the series, have both been referenced in the Doctor Who universe, albeit without anything to connect them to Toy Story.

In the production credits for issue 286 of Doctor Who Adventures, in which each member of staff were listed in the credits alongside their "favourite cowboy", designer Philip White's favourite was listed as Woody, one of the series' main characters.
