On 1 May, many things happened behind the scenes of the Doctor Who universe and related media. Amongst these happenings were:
- 1974 - The final studio recording session for TV: Planet of the Spiders and for Jon Pertwee was held. Tom Baker, already in the midst of production of his first story, attended and filmed a regeneration sequence.
- 2012 - Big Finish audio story The Wrong Doctors began its first day of recording.
- 2012 - Filming continued for TV: The Power of Three. They shot in a house on Church Road, Penarth, covering for the Ponds' house, and at the Glendale Hotel, probably covering for the UNIT base under the Tower of London.[source needed]
