A war resulted in the adult population of Paradise Towers, the inbetweens, being sent off to fight — except for the Caretakers who, it would appear, were exempt from military service. A cowardly young man named Pex avoided this by hiding aboard a Kang ship headed for Paradise Towers. None of the inbetweens ever returned from the war. (TV: Paradise Towers)

- The Terrestrial Index claims that the war was in fact the First Dalek War of the 22nd century, in which human colony planets made failed attempts to intervene in the Dalek occupation of Earth from 2164 to 2167.
- AHistory speculates that the war was the Thousand Day War of 2086 to 2088.
