Zavát

Zavát was a food prepared by the Panjistri for the Kirithons as their main source of nourishment. Unknown to them, zavát also weakened the Kirithons' resistance to telepathic suggestion, allowing the Panjistri to suppress the memories of those they had taken away to Kandasi or for experimentation. It was made from the reconstituted remains of Kirithons who had been subjected to the Panjistri's genetic experiments.

After Arun revealed the truth to Tanyel, she and other Kirithons stirred up unrest by cutting off the zavát supplies, which also aided in memories returning. (PROSE: Timewyrm: Apocalypse)
