The Bureau of Possible Events, also known as the Bureau of Possibility, was a Gallifreyan organisation that existed on the Time Lords' homeworld.
Before leaving Gallifrey, the Doctor worked as a Scrutationary Archivist for the Bureau of Possible Events. (PROSE: Lungbarrow)

Originally the "Bureau of Possible Events", the 2003 edition of Lungbarrow renamed this to the "Bureau of Possibility" to tie-in to the emphasis on Possibility theory in Auld Mortality.
