C. Thomas Howell (born 7 December 1966[1]) played the Gentleman in the Torchwood story Escape to LA.

Howell was initially known as a teen actor, appearing in films such as E.T. and The Outsiders. More recently, he appeared in Southland and in 2012 appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man with Andrew Garfield.
