Having regenerated into a child incarnation during the Last Great Time War, the Master degenerated back into his previous incarnation, the War Master, after being caught in a time paradox. (COMIC: Fast Asleep)

History[[edit] | [edit source]]

The Child Master attempted to break out of the time lock and escape the Last Great Time War in his future self's TARDIS. However, he realised that this would erase the period of his life later in the War when he'd originally recovered this TARDIS in the first place. (COMIC: Kill God) This created a paradox, which was boosted by the activation of the Psilent Songbox which turned the chronal tumour attached to his console into a temporal bomb. With the child's timeline collapsing as a result of the paradox, the Master blamed the Doctor and Alice as he was reverted via retro regeneration into his previous incarnation of the War Master. (COMIC: Fast Asleep)

Legacy[[edit] | [edit source]]

The War Master would eventually regenerate once again, this time into the Saxon Master after escaping the Time War. (TV: Utopia) Missy, while revisiting her timeline and seeing the Child Master and the War Doctor, claimed to not remember which was her and which was the Doctor, implying she may have forgotten this incarnation entirely. (COMIC: The Master Plan)
