Children of Kasterborous
From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference
In the Infinity Doctor's state of reality, the Children of Kasterborous were a group of Gallifreyan/Human hybrids who pursued interventionist policies to create a new age of universal peace.
However, according to Pallant's theory regarding the origins of the Needle People, the Children failed and were condemned to live until the end of time in the Librarinth, stripped of their memories. (PROSE: The Infinity Doctors)
Earlier in its existence, the Needle had been ruled by a Gallifreyan Imperial Family. (PROSE: Father Time)
Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]
- Author Lance Parkin wrote several drafts of the epilogue to The Dying Days, which was to show Jason Kane being dropped off on Dellah by the 42nd Doctor and his wife Iphegenia. In the two drafts that were eventually published elsewhere, it was mentioned that the Children of Kasterborous allied with humanity during the Final Dalek War and eventually drove the Daleks to their ultimate extinction.[1][2]
- Parkin's reference book Whoniverse: A Guide blatantly confirms that the heirs of the four surviving elementals, and therefore Miranda Dawkins' Imperial Family, were called the Children of Kasterborous.
