Volsted Kornbluth Cwej was a former Adjudicator and father of Chris Cwej. (PROSE: Christmas on a Rational Planet)

He was born on 7 May, (PROSE: GodEngine) He graduated as an Adjudicator in 2905. He worked as an Adjudicator until 2953. (PROSE: Original Sin)

In a false memory implanted in Chris by the Carnival Queen, Volsted took his son shopping one day, and encountered two thugs attempting to rob a bank. Volsted launched Chris' robo-frizbee at the robbers, and their weapons clattered out of their reach. (PROSE: Christmas on a Rational Planet)

Cwej's parents attended his graduation on Ponten IV in 2974.

After surviving a particularly harrowing evening, he once shared a precious alcoholic drink make in part of honey with Roz Forrester. In the wake of troubles caused on Earth by Adjudicator Secular Rashid and Tobias Vaughn, Cwej strongly considered moving off world. (PROSE: Original Sin)

In his prime, Volsted was a giant of a man, and had a chisled face. (PROSE: Christmas on a Rational Planet) By 2975, his face was deeply lined, and most of the left side of his face was artificial. His eyes were as bright and as blue as his son's. (PROSE: Original Sin)

Neither Cwej nor his wife's forenames were revealed by writer Andy Lane. Volsted's name came later, in Lawrence Miles' Christmas on a Rational Planet.
