The Comet was an Australian cutter captained by Theodore Fraser. In October 1829, the ship rescued the survivors of the wreck of the Governor Ready, which included survivors from the wrecks of the Mermaid and Swiftsure. Days later, on 3 November, the Comet sank when it was sabotaged by the Seventh Doctor and Bernice Summerfield. Everyone survived the wreck and they were rescued by the Jupiter.
