Darkness, Falling was a Seventh Doctor comic strip published in Doctor Who Magazine.

UNIT Field Agent Ashley is investigating a building when he is attacked and thrown through a window, falling to his death. Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart, who had been monitoring the operation, prepares to leave for a Geneva summit, wishing the Doctor were there.

- This story did not feature the Doctor, and acted as a prelude for the comic story The Mark of Mandragora — in much the same way as the television story Mission to the Unknown did for The Daleks' Master Plan.
- Nicholas Courtney gave permission for the use of his likeness in this and The Mark of Mandragora, on the condition that the Brigadier only appeared for a few frames.
