- Ace discovers the reason the first edition of Doctor Who Weekly was a sell out was that all of the Doctor's incarnations wanted a copy. Cybermen, Daleks, Ice Warriors, Sontarans, Yeti and Zygons also wait in line.
- Ace waits in the Doctor's TARDIS. It displays the date as 17th Oct 1979.

- This story accompanied Doctor Who Magazine's tenth anniversary issue, hence the references to the origin of the magazine.
- This story was adapted into Everyone Wants To Read Doctor Who Magazine, printed in DWM 165, which encouraged readers to purchase future issues of the magazine.
- This story marked the first of only two appearances from the Commenting Dalek in the colour era of Doctor Who?.
