Grant Avery
General Grant Avery was head of UNIT Central Control.

General Avery met Kate Stewart at a conference in Seoul. Two years later, he was head of UNIT Central Control in Geneva and, going outside of the usual process, Kate decided to meet with him regarding the suspected connection between the British government and Lyme Industries. He disapproved and informed the government of her actions.
After the bodies of Sebastien Jeanvier and Marie Beaudin were found, Avery employed Kate and Petronella Osgood's assistance. He and Kate watched footage of the Tengobushi killing the two students and located their invisible spacecraft, after which the Tengobushi took Avery prisoner and Dokan accessed his memories in search of a Kamishi energy cell. Dokan allowed Kate, Osgood and Josh Carter to save the unconscious Avery but later had him assassinated as he returned to UNIT Control. (AUDIO: Death in Geneva)
