Very outdated, to the point the feature the policy is written about doesn't even seem to exist anymore.

This wikia agreed, in principle, to set up an IRC channel in this discussion. However, despite the positivity expressed in that discussion, nothing ever actually happened. No IRC channel was ever started. Nevertheless, the general agreement for the concept of live chatting was the major impetus for enabling the on-site chat feature. If you'd like to participate in a live chat, click on the "start" or "join" button that you see in the right column of most every page.
