The Huguenots were a group of French Protestants, many of whom were killed in the St Bartholomew's Day massacre on 24 August 1572. (TV: The Massacre [+]Loading...["The Massacre (TV story)"]) However, many other Huguenots left France and settled in Wandsworth, London, near the River Wandle.
