Willow captured the Fifth Doctor, Tegan Jovanka and Vislor Turlough upon their arrival in Little Hodcombe and held the Doctor at gunpoint whilst his companions escaped Ben Wolsey's farmhouse. Upon learning of Tegan's relation to the captive Andrew Verney, Sir George had Willow and Wolsey search for the new arrivals following the Doctor's flight and they eventually caught Tegan to serve as Queen of the May, a role which Willow had threatened Jane Hampden with. He forced Tegan to dress the part and threatened to do it himself if she refused.
After Wolsey saved Tegan, Sir George sent Willow and a trooper after them and they attempted to break into the TARDIS. They were knocked out by Turlough and Verney and, upon regaining consciousness, Willow attempted to kill Wolsey with a dagger. The Doctor and Turlough kept them apart and Will Chandler killed Sir George, after which the Malus destroyed itself and Wolsey and Jane forgave Willow for everything he had done during the war games.
