Kelpie (Kelpie)

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

A Kelpie, a shape-shifting elemental water spirit, once went on a killing spree in Falkirk, Scotland until it was stopped by P.R.O.B.E.. The being could manifest either as a watery horse or a watery woman, though it seemed to favour the former. It could put people in its vicinity a hypnotic trance, but was bound to obey anyone who took hold of the silver necklace it wore in both of its forms.

Many years after Falkirk resident Hamish survived a Kelpie attack which claimed many of his friends, the horror began again as this Kelpie manifested in Falkirk, drowning six people. Having noticed reports of it in the papers, P.R.O.B.E. intervened on 8 March 2018, including Falkirk native Archie MacTavish, who had a history with Hamish. Archie and Giles went with Hamish to the stream where the Kelpie was known to manifest; Giles narrowly avoided being drowned by the Kelpie when Hamish sacrificed himself to tear from it its silver necklace. Picking it up, Archie was able to command the Kelpie to release Hamish and leave Falkirk, although it was too late for the old man, whose heart had already given out. Giles subsequently recorded a video diary case file on the Kelpie. (HOMEVID: Kelpie [+]Loading...["Kelpie (home video)"])

Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

Befitting Kelpie [+]Loading...["Kelpie (home video)"]'s mysterious tone, it is never clarified for sure that the Kelpie seen in the present day was the same one which attacked Hamish in his youth.
