Doggles consoles Benny after the funeral for Jason. They meet up eight years later and rekindle their relationship.

- Benny refers to archaeological work that she did on the planet Vulcan.
- Cahlians have rough red skin, three toes, hair like pine needles, and have modified eyes that can see in brighter light than humans can.
- Eight years after the history machine malfunctioned, Benny works at the Jackson City Academy on Mars.

- Like most of the other stories in this anthology, this story takes place in an altered timeline created by Doggles' history machine; these timelines are (mostly) erased when Braxiatel returns things to normal.
