Ned was a barman for The Cloven Hoof in the 1960s.
One night, Olive Hawthorne visited the pub and Ned asked her what drink she wanted, though she was distracted by Victor's violin playing. Ned repeated the question and Victor responded with red wine, which he obliged with. The next day, Olive sought out Victor and asked Ned of his whereabouts on the pretext that he had paid for her drink the previous night. He told her that Victor was staying in one of the upstairs rooms. (HOMEVID: Half Light)
