Rombus was major domo of the Caecilius household in 79. Lobus Caecilius asked Rombus to get some ants in honey and a dormouse for him. He later announced the arrival of the augur Lucius Petrus Dextrus. When a Pyrovile came out of the floor of the Caecilius household, Rombus was incinerated by its fire breath. Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

Rombus' name comes from dialogue in the episode. In the credits of The Fires of Pompeii, Rombus is only credited as "Major Domo". His name is spelled "Rombus" in the captions of the story's Region 2 release, but is given the alternate spelling "Rhombus" in Region 1.
