Richard of York
Richard of York (TV: Sky [+]Loading...["Sky (TV story)"]) was a significant figure in the Wars of the Roses as well as the father of the future Kings of England Edward IV and Richard III, and George, Duke of Clarence.
Doctor Grey often tended to Richard's battle wounds in the old castle in Middleham at a time when the future Richard III was "a young lad". On one such ocassion, when the young Richard was being visited by a time travelling creature interested in the later disappearance of the Princes in the Tower, they heard his father scream. The creature was startled but Richard assured the blob "there was a doctor looking after things" at which point the creature "jumped out of its skin and cleared off pronto". It was from this encounter that Richard learned of the Doctor's reputation among his many alien visitors, leading him to simply tell them "the Doctor was in the vicinity" the moment they started talking about his future, resulting in them leaving shortly afterwards.
