An incarnation of Romana posed as a fortune teller while working with the Tharils to rescue refugees from a "forever war spreading through all time and space".
She upgraded K-9 which allow him to use an AI to migrate into any sufficiently advanced hardware and use its resources.
Encountering the Eighth Doctor at her base in England shortly after the First World War, they answered a distress call from the Sepharial system. (PROSE: The Little Book of Fate)

This incarnation of Romana was young, but with the quiet self-possession of one much older. She wore a full skirt and a Romany waistcoat with a cheap, cotton green scarf knotted at her throat. For headgear, she wore a black beret. (PROSE: The Little Book of Fate)

- It is not entirely clear which incarnation of Romana this is intended to be. The Little Book of Fate states that it is this incarnation's first meeting with the Eighth Doctor, and that "Neither had much to say about the other’s latest regenerated form", providing no further clues. However, her clothing is reminiscent of those worn by Juliet Landau in various promotional images of her portrayal of Romana III. When asked if this was Landau's incarnation, Steve Gallagher stated that it "[w]ould work rather well, wouldn't it?"[1]
