Michael Gambon played Kazran Sardick - a character based upon Scrooge - in the Doctor Who story A Christmas Carol.

- Raymond Coulthard played Scrooge as a young adult during the past scenes of the 1993 film, The Muppet Christmas Carol.
- Simon Callow voiced him in the 2001 adaptation, Christmas Carol: The Movie.
- The Mischief Theatre television-play, A Christmas Carol Goes Wrong, broadcast in 2017, saw the role of Scrooge being usurped from Derek Jacobi.
- Nicholas Farrell portrayed him on stage in the 2021 play, A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story.
- Christopher Eccleston played the character in a 2023 stage production at the Bristol Old Vic.
