Showard syndrome
Showard syndrome was a disease which once threatened the population of Magranite 4 in Ecto-Space. (AUDIO: The Choice) It was also known as Sherwoods disease, or, formally, as RX0018. (PROSE: The Choice)

RX0018 was first discovered 502 years prior to the Mistress's stay at Lukor's court, on the human colony world of Sherwood, hence sometimes being known as "Sherwoods disease". had not had an outbreak in "over 410 years" when the "barbarian king" Caladru Kebek used a new strain as a bioweapon to regain control of the Hanamat system, which had rebelled against his tyrannical rule. The Mistress and K9 developed an antidote using cypherdurite, a mineral with which the population had already been running experiments. The two later recognised the "plague" of Jokastarna as sufficiently similar to Showard syndrome for a cypherdurite antidote to also be promising, and, indeed, K9 was able to develop a cure.
