Skar was a Sontaran major. When the Doctor's TARDIS was transported to Sontar by the Orb of Fates, Skar trapped the time machine in a stasis field and hoped to be rewarded with the Sontaran Star of Valour for the capture of one of the Sontaran Empire's greatest enemies.
