Space Station Alpha was a deep space artificial satellite tasked with finding new places for humanity to colonise.
Whilst trying to attend a celebration on Earth, the Fourth Doctor, Adric and K9 landed on Space Station Alpha on 10 March 2957. The station used a Genesis III computer and a Composition Adjustment Teleport. Genesis III used the teleport to miniaturise scientists and other humans.
