The '''baker's man''' was a delivery driver. He was approaching [[Devil's End]] when he encountered an earth tremor caused by [[Azal]] reducing in size and stopped his van, staggering away from the vehicle. Just as the tremor subsided, his van exploded. He attracted the attention of [[the Brigadier]] when he arrived in his staff car, warning him of the danger, and they realised a [[heat barrier]] was blocking the road, having sprung up in the same place as the van.
