The Rose returns as Rose von Bek, having married into the family, and the events of her backstory are explained. The events of ''Corsairs of the Second Ether'' (1992) appear as fiction within Jack Karquazion's universe, with [[Frank Force]] and [[Spammer Gain]] being introduced as fictional characters. The [[Holy Grail]] appears as a universe.
