While that would be one way of avoiding the 13-incarnations issue, it would make it pretty hard to continue the show, unless they can somehow keep Matt Smith alive, young-looking, and under contract for the next 200 years. There are all kinds of ways Moffat could get around the apparent death, and I'm sure Moffat has taken one of them. The girl being the Doctor and River's daughter probably does make more sense than it being Amy's daughter. Of course, Amy's pregnancy scan does suggest that if she is pregnant, there is something odd about her child, which does seem to suggest that the girl is her daughter, but it is possible that Amy's pregnancy is something completely different. Despite what River said in ''The Impossible Astronaut'', all other evidence would suggest that River and the Doctor meet in a random order, probably in a generally reverse order, but nor perfectly reverse. Otherwise, the diary is completely useless, but River didn't seem surprised when the Doctor had met Jim the Fish before. In ''Silence in the Library'', River commented that the Doctor was younger than she had ever seen him, but if she met him in a perfect reverse order, this would always be the case. Chances are that time will somehow be rewritten at some point to erase the Doctor's death.[[User:Icecreamdif|Icecreamdif]] 02:15, May 10, 2011 (UTC) |
