Publisher's summary[[edit] | [edit source]]
The TARDIS lands on a rocky, volcanic planet and its crew soon find they are not alone.
A pleasure cruiser has recently crashed on this world...but survival has proved rather dangerous.
Because there’s something out on the surface snatching people away. Something made of stone. And with wings.
Don't blink.

Notes[[edit] | [edit source]]
- Producer David Richardson claimed he was "feeling a bit cheeky" when he decided to have the Weeping Angels included in The Fourth Doctor Adventures, outside of the Classic Doctors, New Monsters range. He noted that there was already one such story featuring the Eighth Doctor which did this, although Stone Cold was the first four-part audio story to use the concept. (BFX: Stone Cold) It is most comparable to Madquake, a two-part Fifth Doctor entry in the Main Range from 2020, which features the Slitheen family.
Continuity[[edit] | [edit source]]
- The Fourth Doctor had previously believed Weeping Angels to only be a myth and was sceptical of their actual existence. (COMIC: Gaze of the Medusa)
- Images captured of the Angels threaten to manifest as real Angels. (TV: The Time of Angels)
- Huthro has his mind possessed by an Angel. (TV: The Time of Angels/Flesh and Stone, Village of the Angels)
- The Doctor attempts to lure an Angel into a trap with mirrors. (TV: The Time of the Doctor)
- Starved of time energy, the Weeping Angels begin to visibly decay, and the Doctor believes they will die off if left alone for long enough. (TV: The Time of Angels/Flesh and Stone)
