JIMBO is our answer to "WikiaBot" / "FANDOM" from the days of old. He is a highly automated bot that mainly serves to welcome new users. Its edit count is a very rough estimate of the number of unique individuals who joined us for the first time since we became independent.

In order to make new users feel welcome, we have created a friendly new bot, named JIMBO, who greets you when you register an account at Tardis. Wherever you go in our little corner of the internet, you will find JIMBO.

Unlike Fandom's bot, Jimbo welcomes you right away when you register here!

Since he welcomes each new person, Jimbo's edit count gives a general indicator of how many unique individuals have joined the site during the time that the bot has been functioning properly. Currently the bot claims Special:Editcount/User:JIMBO edits — but the bot was only brought online on 26 February 2024, and, of course, our wiki dates to late 2004, back in the Wikicities days!

Thus, looking at JIMBO's edit count to get a sense of the total number of people who've edited here — even post-independence — is potentially problematic. But comparing the edit count in March 2024 to that of May 2024 and dividing by 1.5 will give you a pretty good idea of the number of people who've joined in that date range.
